Under the category of weird British humor, if you're near the dormitory on the southwest corner of field U2, look to the last window on the second floor. There you'll see an...interesting...figure looking out the window.

KMSP Television reporter Bill Keller was on campus Sunday afternoon shooting a story about the Minnesota Thunder Academy and their success in the USA CUP Weekend Tournament. Keller interviewed MTA 97 Blue head coach Chris Citowicki and defender Nicole Palsgrove after MTA's Super Elite championship game. Even though MTA lost to Tokiwagi from Japan 5-0 in the championship game, both had very nice things to say about the tournament.

From meteorologist Jonathan Yuhas, on this date back on July 14, 1936, the Twin Cities recorded the hottest day on record, 108 degrees. And for the record, USA CUP had NOT been created yet, so you can't blame us!

It was a great Weekend Tournament for Minnesota teams, especially those from two clubs, Minnesota Thunder Academy (MTA) and St. Croix Academy. MTA teams qualified for five championship matches today and went 3-2 in those games. St. Croix Academy qualified for four title tilts and went 3-1 in those games. Dakota Rev won the girls’ 19 title to bring the Minnesota tally to seven championships today.
