Staff: Gary Mariscal  •  Savage, Minn., USA  •  Opening Ceremonies Coordinator

Gary, 22, a recent graduate of Augsburg College, is excited to see his careful Opening Ceremonies planning come to fruition as the team representatives show off their national pride and countries’ colors to thousands of cheering spectators.

Player: Lauren Pohs  •  Highlands Ranch, Colo., USA  •  Colorado United White

Lauren, 15, has proved herself invaluable to her soccer clubs. A multi-positional player, she has lettered at the varsity level as a freshman for her high school team, and has been playing in the top local team for her age group for the last five years.

Volunteer: Paul Beggin  •  Arden Hills, Minn., USA  •  Scheduling and Scoring Team

Paul draws on his 30 years of Schwan’s USA CUP experience when he’s coordinating the playing schedules of teams from around the world, to make for the best mix, high quality play and positive cultural experience.
